Environmental Management Commission – Montgomery

The seven-member Environmental Management Commission, whose members are appointed to six-year terms by the governor and subject to confirmation by the Alabama Senate, is charged with developing the state’s environmental policy, hearing administrative appeals of permits, administrative orders and variances issued by the Department, adopting environmental regulations and selecting an ADEM director.

Alabama Rivers Alliance attends each of these meetings and the public is invited to attend as well.  Agendas and minutes from previous meetings can be found here.
