Citizens Climate Lobby

Debbie is the volunteer leader of Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s chapter in Huntsville, AL. She also serves on the steering committee of CCL’s Climate & Environmental Justice Action Team, and formerly co-led the Washington DC CCL chapter. In Huntsville, Debbie is also on the board of the Huntsville Environmental Coalition in the education committee. Debbie has also volunteered and worked in political campaigns including both Marilyn Lands in AL State District 10 and the Environmental Voter Project during the 2024 election cycle. Debbie grew up in Silicon Valley and graduated from Santa Clara University with a BA in Theatre Tech & Design. She studied environmental policy at Cornell University and Mandarin at National Taiwan Normal University. She’s lived in Taiwan, California, Australia, New York, Washington DC, and on an ocean liner, and now makes her home in Triana, Alabama. Debbie has been an enthusiastic organizer for the last decade. Her greatest joy is transforming other ordinary community members up the ladder of engagement into citizen leaders. She educates everyday people on discovering and wielding their personal and political power– for example, by voting, and more importantly– amplifying your vote!
