13th annual Darter Fest!

Join AEC at the 13th annual Darter Fest on Sunday, May 31st from noon-5 pm at Cahaba Brewing Company! The festival supports our watershed education programs for Birmingham City Schools, with an emphasis on the Watercress Darter. This tiny fish is unique to Birmingham and needs our help!
Darter Fest 2026 will feature Cahaba Brewery’s signature darter beer, food trucks, live music, and kids’ activities. Advance general admission tickets at $15 and $50 for VIP passes. Day of event prices will be $20 and $60, respectively. VIP passes include access to a private lounge with complimentary food and drinks.
