Talk will begin promptly at 5:45.We’re excited to welcome our guest speaker, Roald Hazelhoff, who’s working with us as an Education Advisor. Learn about our newest big initiative—finding a new home for Southern Environmental Center, which will now be called the Alabama Resilience Center (ARC). With its focus on climate change, ARC will provide a unique setting for experiential learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills related to flood mitigation, increasing heat waves/droughts, and air quality issues. It will be the first of its kind in Alabama that seeks to instill a sense of environmental stewardship among K-12 audiences, government entities, and the general public, inspiring future generations to address pressing ecological challenges and develop innovative solutions for sustainable urban development.
Free & open to the public! Chips & dips provided. $10 suggested donation to support our mission.
