What is Alabama Water Rally?
Alabama Water Rally is the annual conference of the Alabama Rivers Alliance. This is the a premier educational and networking event for Alabamians interested in #CleanWater and protection of all our waterways. The conference moves to different regions of the state each year so that it is accessible to citizens from all parts of Alabama.
We are thrilled to bring Alabama Water Rally to Mobile as part of River Network’s River Rally 2016!
As a special treat, the first 100 registrants got to attend the Alabama Water Rally portion (Friday, May 20) for FREE!

Who attends Alabama Water Rally?
Each year Alabama Water Rally brings over a hundred individual attendees from a variety of backgrounds together to share, network, and learn. Participants include agency employees, teachers, elected officials, scientists, lawyers, engineers, concerned citizens, nature lovers, and other eco-minded folks.
What happens at Alabama Water Rally?
Alabama Water Rally participants receive professional development training from experts on the newest ideas and innovations in science, community organizing, and environmental policy work. It’s a great opportunity for professional development as well as a chance to get together with eco-minded people to socialize, celebrate our victories, share our challenges, and have a good time. Days are packed with informative education sessions and each night features a different form of entertainment.

For the first time ever, River Network, a long time national partner of the Alabama Rivers Alliance, will be hosting their national River Rally in Alabama. We will partner with them to raise funds for scholarships and to highlight Alabama’s amazing biodiversity.
Alabama Rivers Alliance will be hosting their 18th Annual Alabama Water Rally on-site at River Rally! This pre-Rally event features a river celebration awards luncheon, an update on statewide water policy work, interactive breakout sessions, and will culminate with a special Earth Honoring Ceremony. All River Rally attendees are encouraged to join this all-day event to learn more about water protection, ‘Bama-style. Entry is free for the first 100 registrants!
