Cahaba River Coalition Earth Week
April 20 - April 24

Cahaba River Coalition invites the community to celebrate Earth Day by joining them at the river for daily cleanups April 20-24. This week-long initiative will focus on removing litter and invasive species from the Cahaba River’s channel, banks, and tributaries, ensuring a cleaner, healthier waterway for both wildlife and people. The week will conclude with a celebration at Sweet Home Distillery on Saturday, April 25, to honor the contributions of volunteers and partners.
Cleanups will be held each day in different high-traffic spots along the Cahaba’s 190-mile stretch, tackling litter and invasive species in an effort to protect and preserve the integrity of the Cahaba and its watershed.
