Darter Scramble benefitting Alabama Environmental Council

Registration is now open for the Alabama Environmental Council’s 2025 Darter Scramble, a golf tournament benefiting our Birmingham Urban Watershed STEM Initiative (BUWSI) program! Teams of four will compete in the 18-hole golf scramble, and a continental breakfast plus awards luncheon are included in your registration.

Unique to Birmingham, the federally endangered Watercress Darter fish displays spectacular colors during mating season and lives in five local streams, including Roebuck Springs at Roebuck Golf Course. Proceeds from Darter Scramble support science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs in Birmingham City Schools.
