Desoto Caverns Park Tour with West Alabama Sierra Club

Desoto Caverns Park Tour. Join us for a cool outing in September. We will tour one of Alabama’s beautiful caves. Desoto Caverns is the first cave on record in the United States. In 1796, Benjamin Hawkins, a presidential agent, wrote to George Washington describing the beauty of the cave. Admission to the cave is $24.99 for adults; $19.99 for children 4-11years. There is a caf’© at the park; lunches are $10.99. The tour is one hour long. Meet at 8:00a.m. in the old Books-a-Million lot at the corner of Skyland and McFarland Blvds. We should arrive back in Tuscaloosa between 2-3p.m.
