On Free Fishing Day, June 10, 2023, anyone is welcome to fish for free in most public waters!! No fishing license is required for this day only at both freshwater and saltwater public waterways.

This is a perfect opportunity to teach a friend or child how to fish without the added costs of purchasing a fishing license! Red snapper and public fishing lakes will still require license purchases.
