Join Alabama Environmental Council (AEC) for their next Green Drinks happy hour with our partners at Glass Half Full at AEC’s EAT Sustainability restaurant partner Rojo (2921 Highland Ave. S., Birmingham, AL 35205) on Thursday, November 20, 5:30-7 p.m. Talk will begin promptly at 6 p.m.! This event will be held in their side room.

Ricky Ostry will present about Glass Half Full, a glass recycling company based in New Orleans with a new warehouse in North Birmingham that crushes glass bottles into sustainable sand. The presentation will cover the history and growth of GHF as well as their expansion into Birmingham. Come learn all about glass recycling!

About the speaker:

Ricky Ostry has spent the last 15 years working across a variety of industries in New Orleans, including the bar and restaurant scene, entertainment, education, non-profit work, and more. At Glass Half Full, Ricky’s focus is on building relationships with commercial recycling clients and the community at large. He has been working to expand glass recycling in the greater Birmingham area.
