Palisades Park Hike with FLFR

Friends of the Locust Fork River will be taking hikers to new heights! Join leader Tammy Mason and see for yourself.
Blount County Palisades Park offers a relaxing atmosphere with scenic views atop Ebell Mountain. Since 1973 Palisades Park has drawn and delighted visitors. The newest feature is the restored Fire Tower. When you climb the 133 steps of the Sand Mountain Lookout Fire Tower inside the park, you will see the majority of Blount County and parts of St. Clair, Etowah, Cullman and Jefferson Counties.
The climb is FREE, and the scenic view is priceless. Join FLFR for a day in the woods hiking, climbing, ‘oohing and aaahing’ and fellowship. From Palisades Park you will be a 5 minute drive from the new and attractive stores and restaurants downtown Oneonta. Please register FLFR.org
