Water is Life: Water Resource Centers

FreeTuesday, August 18 – Water is Life: Water Resource Centers with Alabama Water Institute (University of Alabama), Auburn Water Resource Center (Auburn University) and Center for Water Resource Economics (Troy University).
Our academic institutions play a vital role in collecting data and conducting research about our abundant and globally-recognized water resources. Join us Tuesday as we talk with the leaders of three of Alabama’s Water Resource Centers to discuss their important work. We’ll discuss how they can contribute to conservation and advocacy efforts in solving existing and future water challenges, and position Alabama as a global water data and research hub.
ABOUT THE WATER IS LIFE SERIES
Each Tuesday, starting on Rivers of Alabama Day (April 14), we invite you to join us from noon – 1 pm for this virtual get-together…with a purpose! We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water, even in this new “normal”. You’ll hear from our partners across the state, and leading experts in water protection. We’ll even have a few river history lessons thrown in!
