Water is Life: Waters of the U.S. with Keith Johnston (Southern Environmental Law Center)

The Waters of the U.S. rule (WOTUS) is in the news again! After more than a decade of political and legal battles over which waters are covered by the Clean Water Act, the EPA is once again taking up rule-making to unwind recent changes that provide less protection for the nation’s waters.  Join us Tuesday as we talk with Keith Johnston of the Southern Environmental Law Center to hear the latest on this important topic and learn what you can do to help.

Watch the 2019 Southern Exposure film,  Waters of the U.S. to learn more before Tuesday!

ABOUT THE WATER IS LIFE SERIES

Each Tuesday we invite you to join us from noon – 1 pm for this virtual get-together…with a purpose! We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water. You’ll hear from our partners across the state, and leading experts in water protection. We’ll even have a few river history lessons thrown in! Click here to watch any past Water is Life Zoom Talk.
