FreeWater is Life: In The Netherlands with James Lowery
The Netherlands is a fascinating country that must deal daily with living below the level of the North Sea. It has dealt with water control and removal since the 1200s and has learned to live with water instead of against it. At the same time, the country depends on waterways for living, commerce and travel. The Netherlands is a wonderful combination of old and new; past and future; rural and urban. The presentation is a general one about The Netherlands but includes things that we in the United States can learn from The Netherlands and how they handle water.
