FreeWater is Life: Alabama Water Plan with Cindy Lowry!
Alabama has a long and interesting history with water management policy dating all the way back to 1955. Each time the issue of water use challenges and water resource management rises to the state level, typically following a major drought, some forward progress is made, but each time we fall short of developing a plan. The Alabama Rivers Alliance has long advocated the development of a statewide water plan to ensure accessible, affordable, and equitably shared water resources. Join us Tuesday to learn about the history of where we’ve been as we’ve advocated for a statewide plan, and hear about where we need to go from here to address the water needs of 2021 and beyond.

Join us the first Tuesday of each month from noon – 1 pm for this virtual get-together … with a purpose! We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water.
