Julianne Tharp is the Field & Advocacy Fellow for GASP, the Greater-Birmingham Alliance to Stop Pollution. Born and raised in Mississippi, Julianne’s journey into environmental advocacy is one of profound transformation, shaped by her commitment to service and a deep-seated passion for justice. She currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and a Master of Science in Environmental Health, Policy and Management from Samford University. Her favorite pastimes are reading, playing pickleball, and traveling with her husband and their daughter.
