RIVER REGION, MEET TIFFANI POWELL!
ARA is thrilled to welcome Tiffani Powell to the ARA team as the River Region Community Engagement Fellow! You may spot her somewhere across town as she meets with community and business leaders talking about the Alabama River and what it means to the River Region. She brings experiences with building relationships, fundraising, and event planning with nonprofits like Southern Poverty Law Center and the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, and is excited to share ARA’s work across the Alabama River watershed. Whether advocating for social justice, fighting hunger, and now the environment and Alabama’s water resources, Tiffani seeks opportunities to impact positive change and build connections with people.
Originally from Miami, Tiffani graduated from Troy University in Montgomery and earned a master’s degree in Business Leadership from South University. She currently lives in Prattville and travels with her kids to their various sporting events, with stops at the beach for some fun. She also enjoys a good book or a night of movie watching with the family.
LET US KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!
The Alabama Rivers Alliance and City Councilor Andrew Szymanski (District 7) are gathering feedback from the wonderful people of the River Region about what the Alabama River means to you – the good, the bad, and the indifferent. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts! All answers are anonymous unless you want to join our email list. These survey results will be presented to the Montgomery City Council in early 2026.
