WILL CANTRELL
Tennessee watershed

Will grew up in the rural town of Winfield, in northwest Alabama, before moving to Florence to pursue his undergraduate history degree. There Will became involved in historical research on the river systems of Alabama, with a focus on the Tennessee River, and became involved in legal advocacy for victims of corporate mercury pollution. Will then felt compelled to help protect both the river systems and the people who rely on them.

Will Cantrell is a rising 2L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where he is actively pursing a JD for the purpose of working in environmental advocacy. When Will isn’t in the law library studying or researching, he loves  kayaking, reading, and hiking.
