Vanesa is a Research Scientist and Coordination Lead for SERVIR, a joint NASA and USAID program that connects satellite data with environmental decision making around the world. Her particular interests include using satellite data analysis for food security and crop type mapping in Latin America and Africa. She is also a member of the Huntsville Environmental Coalition and is passionate about sustainable urban development in the Greater Huntsville area. Outside of environmental research and advocacy, she loves books, ghost towns, nice physical notebooks, and adobe architecture.
