Corrine Baroni

Corinne Baroni is a Masters student and Graduate Council Fellow at The University of Alabama, studying environmental engineering. Passionate about expanding access to clean water and a safe environment to all communities, Corinne has been involved in academic research for several years and is excited to serve as an ARA Young Professional River Defender. Her thesis project is quantifying fecal microbes in the Alabama Black Belt and studying their relationship to the suspended sediment load and varying climatic events using novel, time-integrated methods. She also co-hosts the podcast H2O Tea Time: Discussing Water Issues in the Alabama Black Belt and Beyond. Corinne is a lover of the outdoors and in her free time, she enjoys hiking (especially at her favorite local waterway Hurricane Creek), yoga, cooking, and art.
