2023 Grandman Triathlon

The 2023 Grandman Triathlon race will take place on May 20 in Fairhope, Alabama, at Fairhope Pier, along the beautiful shores of Mobile Bay. The event, whose proceeds benefit the work of Mobile Baykeeper, is open to individual racers and teams.

One of the most beloved racing events on the Gulf Coast, the Grandman is a short-distanced “sprint” race (Swim: 1/3 mile, Bike: 18.6 miles, Run: 3.1 miles) which makes it a great option for beginners and seasoned triathletes. Participants can also race as a relay team with two or three members. The relay option is perfect for beginners who may not feel up to going the distance alone.
The event is as much a celebration of community as it is a competition. For many longtime racers, the Grandman is a testament to the charm of this unique corner of the Gulf Coast, with its laconic view of Mobile Bay and serpentine streets canopied with live oaks.
