Alabama Rivers Educator Workshop

Registration is now open for the 4-H AL Water Watch, Alabama Rivers Educator Workshop that will take place on Saturday, Oct. 2nd from 10am – 5pm: https://auburn.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8nU9saBrPdNuNXU 

 

This opportunity is open to educators including teachers, informal educators, and volunteer educators who would like to share Alabama rivers related knowledge, inspiration, and challenges with their students. The workshop curriculum is based on the book, Alabama Rivers: A Celebration & Challenge by Dr. Bill Deutsch.  

 

With a $35 Registration Fee, participants will receive:  

·        Certification as an Alabama Rivers Educator 

·        Copy of Alabama Rivers: A Celebration & Challenge by Dr. Bill Deutsch 

·        Copy of An Educator’s Guide to Alabama Rivers Curriculum (correlated to the Alabama Course of Study for grades 4-7 for subjects including social science, science, and visual arts, but can be adapted for other grade levels and subjects) 

·        Access to online Digital Resources 

·        Continuing Education Units from Auburn University and Professional Development Credits through PowerSchool 

·        Lunch during the workshop
