Friends of the Locust Fork River Paddle Trip: Low Water Bridge

Join Brett King & the Friends of the Locust Fork River for a delightful canoe or kayak trip on Saturday, July 16 from 2:30 pm to 7 pm (includes shuttling time). This will be an afternoon kayak trip on a pretty shady section of the river. They will kayak down the Little Warrior River, mostly flat-water with a few shoals.

Bring your own boat (kayak or canoe), your paddle, life jacket, a snack/lunch, drinking water, river appropriate clothing, water shoes, hat & sunglasses held with a string. This will be a device-free adventure!

Meet at the Low Water Bridge, near 2276 Jerry Marsh Road, Locust Fork, AL 35097. After unloading the boats we will caravan to the take out 5 minutes away, then a FLFR shuttle will bring you back to the put-in. Please register to sign the waiver and get an email with last minute details the day before the event. Stay tuned by following FLFR on FB,  may need to make some adjustments due to the weather or if the river’s flow is too low for a paddle.
