Living Shoreline Workshop with Weeks Bay NERR

This free workshop will be an opportunity for waterfront property owners in Baldwin County, Alabama to learn more about living shorelines.
The goal for the workshop is for property owners to learn about living shorelines as an alternative to bulkheads for protecting their property and to have the opportunity to learn about how a living shoreline could work at their property specifically (through one-on-one conversations with a living shoreline team member).
The workshop will start with a free dinner followed by a short presentation on the basics of living shorelines. The last portion of the workshop will be optional one-on-one conversations between property owners and a member of the living shoreline team. During these conversations, property owners will have the opportunity to tell the team about the challenges they are experiencing at their property and hear about how living shorelines could help. They will also be given the chance to sign-up for on-site living shoreline assessments from the program team.
