Memorial Hike to Cornelius Falls with FLFR

Join FLFR for this easy-to-moderate hike to Cornelius Falls – a very scenic site on the river that car tourists will never see. It’s a 15 minute hike in (downhill), but 25 minutes uphill coming out. Some folks like to go slow and talk about trees. Other folks scoot ahead to get in more play time at the falls. We’ll eat our brown bag lunches on the sunny rocks at the falls. It’s a great time of the year to play in the water. We will meet at 10 AM and be back to the cars about 1:30 – 2:00. We’ll park our cars and walk from the new Maypop Eco-retreat (look for a sign).

Bring water, a snack, your bathing suit, wading shoes, sunscreen, a hat, comfortable walking shoes and your camera – there will be lots of opportunities to take photos to enter FLFR’s Art, Photo, Video & Poetry Contest.
