Mother’s Day Paddle with Friends of the Locust Fork

You are cordially invited to join Tammy Mason and Indya Guthrie, FLFR guides, for a paddle on the Locust Fork River from the new public river access at Taylor Riverside Park and take out at the end of Taylor Ford Rd. River distance 6 miles, mostly flat water with a few ripples and scenic vistas, suitable for beginners.
Meet at 3:00 PM Taylor Riverside Park to unload boats and carry them to the new boat ramp. A FLFR representative will lead only drivers to the take out at Taylor Ford Rd., 5-minutes away, and bring them back to the Park. All vehicles should park on the same side of the road. Other paddlers are to remain at the Park. Estimated time from start to finish, including shuttle time, is 3-4 hours.
Location: Taylor Riverside Park, at the CR 26 bridge, corner of Dunn Ln. / CR 34, Susan Moore Rd., Blountsville, AL.
Bring your own boat (kayak or canoe), paddles, life jackets, snacks/lunches, hat and sunglasses tethered on a string.
