This free festival takes place Saturday, January 27 from 1:30 to 4:30 inside the Homewood High School gymnasium.

Events include:

1:30 to 4:30 – with a hike outside at Homewood Forest Preserve at 1:00 (weather permitting)

1:30 – We get started with music, displays, and fun!
2:00 – Welcome with WBHM host, Richard Banks
2:10 – Interactive Drum Jam, led by John Scalic
2:30 – The Salamander Story, told by Linda Neighbors
2:45 – Information about our native forests and why salamanders live here.
Music by the “Swinging Slythereens”
Also: Crafts, animals, displays, face painting, and much more
