Shoals Environmental Alliance: Cypress Creek Cleanup Day

Join us for a cleanup day on beautiful Cypress Creek. Shoals Environmental Alliance is one of the sponsors for this event.
Plan for a great day either paddling the creek or collecting trash on the shore. This is a chance to have a real impact on your community while spending quality time with old friends and new acquaintances.Meet us between 8:00-10:00am at Wildwood Park, Waterloo Rd., Florence, AL 35630, to pickup supplies and get event details.
This event is BYOB: Bring your own boat.
But, we will have trash bags, mesh bags, latex gloves, trash grabbers, bottled water and snacks on hand for participants.
The cleanup itself will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Launch points for the cleanup will be at Rash Road, Cox Creek Parkway and Wildwood Park.
There will either be dumpsters or designated areas for leaving trash bags at Cox Creek Parkway, Wildwood Park and the AL-20 (Savannah Highway) Bridge.
Those not paddling the creek may wish to pick up trash on the shoreline at the launch and takeout points.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate in this event!
