FreeWater is Life: With the Sierra Club with Steven DeCaprio and Stephen Stetson
The Sierra Club is the oldest environmental organization in the country and they have a long history of partnering with groups like the Alabama Rivers Alliance right here in Alabama. They are a volunteer led organization working to protect our environment so that we may continue to explore and enjoy to its greatest extent, for ourselves, for all people and for future generations. Join us Tuesday as we meet their new State Director and learn about their national, state, and local level efforts from advocating for clean energy to leading outdoor activities across the state.
ABOUT THE WATER IS LIFE SERIES
Each Tuesday, starting on Rivers of Alabama Day (April 14), we invite you to join us from noon – 1 pm for this virtual get-together…with a purpose! We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water, even in this new “normal”. You’ll hear from our partners across the state, and leading experts in water protection. We’ll even have a few river history lessons thrown in!
