Water is Life is talking climate for the month of May!
Climate Change is here already — more frequent extreme weather events, worsening air quality, rising sea levels, more severe droughts more often, more intense heat waves — and it will only get worse unless we reduce our carbon emissions across all sectors of our economy. Everyone will be affected by climate change. The question is, who can afford to recover and which communities will be left behind? The good news is that we can address carbon emissions head-on in a just and equitable way as we transition to a clean energy economy. Join us Tuesday as we look beyond the politics and discuss the Green New Deal – what it is and what it isn’t with GASP. We will also hear about their newly launched Birmingham Green New Deal initiative and what we can do to help make it happen!

We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water.
