Water is Life: Birding in Alabama with Alabama Audubon
Join us Tuesday as we talk with Alabama Audubon about birding in Alabama (and beyond)! Alabama Audubon works to connect people with birds and nature through many different ways, including art and online courses. We’ll discuss the connection between conservation and protecting the natural world for wildlife. We’ll also learn about their recent partnerships they have developed to bring the economic and environmental benefits of bird-based ecotourism to one of the country’s most economically challenged rural areas, the Alabama Black Belt.

Each Tuesday, starting on Rivers of Alabama Day (April 14), we invite you to join us from noon – 1 pm for this virtual get-together…with a purpose! We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water, even in this new “normal”. You’ll hear from our partners across the state, and leading experts in water protection. We’ll even have a few river history lessons thrown in!
