WATER WISE Teacher Workshop

June 7, 2021 - June 9, 2021

Alabama’s waterways are critical to the past, present, and future of our state, home to 132,000 miles of rivers and streams, 3,267,600 acres of wetlands, and 563,000 acres of ponds and reservoirs. Helping students understand and appreciate how we depend upon our waterways is critical. Join us for three half-days as we learn about our water, explore technologies that can connect students to our water, and discuss the role of humanities education in better protecting our water. Registration limited to 30 teachers. Registrants must attend all three half-days and can earn 11 hours PD credit.

Presented by Alabama Humanities Alliance in conjunction with upcoming Smithsonian WATER/WAYS exhibit tour.
