Hey, Young Professionals of Tuscaloosa! Looking for a fun Saturday afternoon and to get involved with environmentalism in Alabama?
Join ARA’s Young Professional River Defenders on April 13th for a hike and social afterwards in Tuscaloosa!
3:00 PM – Gather at Hurricane Creek Park for a guided hike and presentation from YOUR Hurricane Creekkeeper, the legendary John Wathen! We’ll listen to John speak about his efforts to preserve Hurricane Creek and hit the trail afterwards for an easy hike. Meet us at 7005 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
5:30 PM – After the hike, we’ll head to Loosa Brews for a laid-back social! Enjoy craft beer and great conversations with fellow young professionals who share your passion for environmental stewardship and community engagement. Plus, we’ve got pizza coming around 6 PM – because why not treat ourselves after a day of adventure?
Come out to both events – or just one! – for a great time and to learn more about the Alabama Rivers Alliance and the Young Professional River Defenders! The hike is weather dependent, but we’ll gather for a social at Loosa Brews rain or shine. We can’t wait to hang out in Tuscaloosa and hope you’ll join us!
