NINA MORGAN
tHE sTAY pROJECT

Nina is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she studied anthropology and sociology, mapped Birmingham’s urban tree canopy using GIS, and served as a decathlete in the 2017 U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon competition. Her post-graduate work concentrates on climate and environmental justice in Central Alabama, with a focus on supporting communities impacted by environmental racism. Through her work with Magic City Youth Initiative & the STAY Project, Nina spends much of her time cultivating a youth leadership and peer-to-peer support networks. She also works as a Movement Organizing Fellow with Project South, where she is developing social movement infrastructure across the U.S. South
