Hulsey Little River Trust
Hulsey Little River Trust’s mission is to preserve The Little River by fostering good stewardship of the land throughout its entire watershed.
The HLRT mission is based on a desire to honor the memory of Shane Harper Hulsey, a passionate environmentalist and kayaker, who had a special love for The Little River Canyon, where he lost his life in a boating accident. The subsequent outpouring of love inspired friends and family to bring about some good from his tragic and untimely death by helping protect one of Alabama’s most spectacular natural places.
