Water is Life: Community Conversations

Alabama Rivers Alliance, with support from the US State Department’s Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund and in partnership with local community groups, is hosting a series of events celebrating Alabama’s exceptional freshwater resources.

Alabama is blessed with more than 132,000 miles of rivers and streams that provide a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities and are home to the greatest freshwater biodiversity in the country, including more species of turtles, crayfish, snails, and mussels than any other state. Over heavy hors d’oeuvres and delicious beverages, and with a collection of watershed stakeholders, including state legislators and NGOs, we will discuss opportunities to protect and celebrate Alabama’s freshwater resources and to promote safe and healthy outdoor recreation in our waters.

Join us Thursday, September 14 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Red Clay Brewery .
