WHAT: Mobile and Baldwin County residents will gather for an outdoor symposium under the oak trees in Bienville Square to hear notable speakers talk on the local issues our communities will face as climate change worsens, and how we can overcome the barriers to cleaner renewable energy resources. Rise for Climate, Jobs, and Justice, Mobile Bay is this Saturday, September 8th, four days before the Global Climate Action Summit. Exhibitors will feature their organizations and educate about common-sense climate solutions. Gulf Coast residents will join people from across the country and around the world in taking action to address the impact of climate change and sea level rise.

Everyone is invited to come and learn about what local solutions the Mobile Bay coastal communities can pursue in order to protect our economy and natural resources. The well-being and livelihood of families, communities, and environment will depend on fossil fuel free solutions.

Written responses, from all local political candidates answering key questions on their plans for addressing climate change, will be available at the event.
