The Abortion Talks Film Screening with Alabama Values

Alabama Values has teamed with reproductive rights partners across Alabama to host its first event under their collaborative initiative “It’s My Body. Period.”
On Saturday, November 5, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., AV, Yellowhammer Fund, URGE, Project Say Something, PowerHouse, The Knights and Orchids Society and Planned Parenthood Southeast will present “The Abortion Talks,” film screening and panel discussion around abortion.
The series follows the crimes, trial and murder of John Salvi, and the story of six women who sought to find something deeper than justice. Disillusioned by the rhetoric and posturing from both sides, three pro-life and three pro-choice leaders meet secretly to see if together they could fix their broken worlds.
“The Abortion Talks,” directed by filmmakers Josh Sabey and Sarah Perkins will be screened at an exclusive event at the Co-Lab Collective in Montgomery. Attendees must register to attend and space is limited.
Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion regarding reproductive rights in Alabama in a post-Roe world.
